The Arkansas State Flag was adopted on March 16th, 1924 and has meaningful history behind it's creation. The 25 stars around the diamond signify that Arkansas was the 25th state to join. The diamond represented the first diamond mine discovered in the U.S at the time, and the three stars below the state name represent the three nations to which the state belonged.
