How to Generate a Commercial Flagpole Cut Sheet
The Flagpole Warehouse Cut Sheet Builder produces a specification-ready PDF in five steps. Every cut sheet includes an engineering drawing, a complete specifications table, wind speed ratings for your exact configuration, and all selected accessories.
Choose a pole type. Six commercial configurations are available: External Stationary, External Revolving, Internal Winch, Internal Cam Cleat, Reinforced Winch, and Reinforced Cam Cleat. Each is engineered for different site conditions, security requirements, and wind environments.
Set pole dimensions. Select height (15 to 80 feet), butt diameter, wall thickness, and section count. The builder automatically filters available options based on your selected pole type to prevent incompatible combinations.
Select finish and accessories. Choose from Mill, Clear Anodized, or Powder Coat finishes. Add accessories including ornament or beacon, halyard type, flash collar (spun or cast aluminum), and foundation sleeve.
Review the live preview. The configuration panel updates in real time with your model number and list pricing so you can verify the spec before generating the document.
Download the cut sheet PDF. The generated file includes an engineering drawing, specifications table, and NAAMM FP 1001-07 wind speed data for your configuration — ready for contractor submittals, architect review, or project files.
Commercial Flagpole Types
Commercial aluminum flagpoles are organized by halyard system (external or internal) and structural class (standard or reinforced). External halyard poles secure the rope to a cleat at the base — stationary models hold the flag in a fixed position, while revolving models use a truck that rotates 360 degrees to prevent flag wrap. Internal halyard poles route the rope or cable inside the shaft and are accessed through a cam-locked door, making them resistant to vandalism and unauthorized flag lowering. Reinforced variants carry higher wind ratings for coastal and hurricane-prone installations. All types are covered by the cut sheet builder above.
External Stationary
External rope and cleat with a fixed flag position. The most economical commercial flagpole option for standard installations. Beacon mounting is not supported on this type.
15 to 35 ftExternal Revolving
External rope with a 360-degree revolving truck that keeps the flag from wrapping the shaft in variable winds, reducing wear and extending flag life. Supports a top-mounted external beacon.
20 to 80 ft Beacon CompatibleInternal Winch
Stainless steel cable on a geared winch, fully enclosed in the shaft. Raised and lowered through a cam-locked access door. Standard specification for government buildings, schools, and high-security sites.
20 to 80 ft Beacon CompatibleInternal Cam Cleat
Internal rope halyard locked by a cam cleat device inside the shaft. Compact access door profile. Provides anti-vandalism security in a lighter-duty internal halyard format.
20 to 35 ft Beacon CompatibleReinforced Winch
Heavy-wall internal winch pole engineered for elevated wind exposure — coastal zones, hurricane-prone regions, and other high-wind sites. Compatible with internal beacon.
25 to 50 ft Beacon CompatibleReinforced Cam Cleat
Heavy-wall internal cam cleat pole for high-wind installations. Internal halyard for vandal resistance with the structural capacity of an upgraded wall thickness.
25 to 35 ft Beacon CompatibleWind Speed Ratings: External Revolving Flagpoles
Rated wind speed (mph) by height, butt diameter, and wall thickness for external revolving commercial flagpoles. "With Nylon Flag" is the NAAMM FP 1001-07 compliance rating — the maximum wind speed the pole sustains with the recommended nylon flag attached. "Unflagged" is the bare-pole structural limit. Nylon is the standard fabric for wind load calculations; polyester flags add greater load due to higher fabric weight and may reduce the effective rated wind speed. All values per ASCE 7-10 (3-second gust at 33 feet above ground, 50-year mean recurrence interval).

Wind Speed Ratings: Internal Winch Flagpoles
Rated wind speed by height, butt diameter, and wall thickness for internal winch commercial flagpoles. All "With Nylon Flag" values assume the standard nylon flag for that height is installed. Internal winch poles use a stainless steel cable on a geared winch mechanism enclosed within the shaft, accessed through a cam-locked milled door. This is the most common anti-vandalism specification for government, institutional, and high-security installations.

Wind Speed Ratings: External Stationary Flagpoles
Rated wind speed for external stationary flagpoles, the most economical commercial configuration available. Heights range from 15 to 35 feet. The flag is attached to an external rope halyard and tied off to a base cleat; the flag position is fixed. Beacon installation is not available on stationary poles. All "With Nylon Flag" values assume the standard nylon flag for that height is attached, per NAAMM FP 1001-07.

Flagpole Foundation and Set Depth Specifications
All ground-set commercial aluminum flagpoles ship with a steel ground sleeve. The sleeve is embedded in a concrete foundation before pole installation; the pole inserts into the sleeve after the concrete cures. Set depth (burial depth) follows NAAMM FP 1001-07 standards and scales with exposed pole height. Overall manufactured pole length equals the exposed height plus the set depth. A spun aluminum flash collar (standard) or cast aluminum flash collar (upgrade) seals the gap between the shaft and sleeve at grade, finished with exterior-grade silicone. All ground sleeves include a factory-welded grounding lug for lightning protection bonding.

Flagpole Material, Alloy, and Construction Standards
Commercial flagpoles available through Flagpole Warehouse are manufactured to NAAMM FP 1001-07 and designed per the Aluminum Design Manual (ADM). All pole shafts are 6063-T6 aluminum alloy, cone-tapered to the manufacturer's standard rate. The specifications below appear on every cut sheet generated by the builder above.
